Monday Munchies: Pizza Bagels

Close that UberEats app and get ready for this essential Monday Munchies recipe. Lunchtime decisions don’t always have to include your smartphone. Sometimes it just takes a little bit of creativity and whatever you can find in your kitchen.  

If you said you didn’t love pizza bagels as a kid, you’d be lying. Here’s a slightly more adult version of a classic.  


  • ½ cup of pizza sauce 
  • 4 bagels, split 
  • 1 ½ cups of shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (6 oz) 
  • Sliced pepperoni chopped bell pepper, sliced mushrooms or cooked sausage, if desired, for toppings 


  1. Heat oven to 425°F. Spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce over each bagel half. Sprinkle each with cheese and desired toppings. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. 
  2. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
